Roberto Mancini gave his take on possible signings and other transfer dealings when hosted on Radio Deejay’s Deejay Football Club programme today.
Asked if he feels a more physical team is needed to win in Italy, he said: “We need to improve our improve our squad by adding players who bring a bit more physicality. If we can integrate them well, I think we’ll see improvement – not that it’s enough in itself to win because there’s a team that’s dominated the league for years and they start ahead of the pack.
Quizzed on possible Nerazzurri arrivals, the coach replied: “I don’t know if Eder will join us. It sounds like a tough one to do. We’ll see.
“Felipe Melo? He’s got loads of experience and he could help us out in the middle of the park. In Italy people tend to remember him when he was going through a difficult spell but if he cost a lot it at the time it was because someone noted his ability. I don’t know if he’ll join Inter or not. It’s tricky with just three days left to go.”
On Perisic: “He should arrive today.”
Mancini also spoke about the sale of Mateo Kovacic.
“It wasn’t something we wanted to do but there were economic reasons behind it. Inter, like other clubs, have signed agreements with UEFA and we have to stay within certain parameters. Sadly the only decent offers we received were for Shaqiri and Kovacic and so we were forced to let them leave. Mateo is a very talented player. Like all young talents he needs time but you don’t get the chance to join Real Madrid every day.”

First of all, you’re just a simple coach, don’t act like english type manager! It’s pathetic, how this shadow of a coach try to find excuses for Kovacic and Shaquiri departure with Financial Fair Play. That’s bullshits and everybody knows that. The biggest reason for those sells is “Mister Big Excuse” Roberto Mancini. Be ready for many more excuses this season from those delusional man.
Every coach has excuses why the team lost. Mourinho for example, is a legend and people praise him as a manager, yet he blames everyone, from players to medical staff to refs and so on. That really isn’t much an argument to say that a coach is bad.
There is one big difference, Mourinho wins something every year.
same goes to mancini.. you can check his profile.. he win something in all team he coach.. and note this, he gave us more tittle(7) than mou(5) gave.. i’m not saying he is better than mou, but you have to respect both of them as inter legend..
Mou was here just 2 years so it’s not really comparable. For me Mancini is not Inter legend, he won the league when we had no real opponents and failed miserably in the CL. Let’s see what he does this time around.
if you goes like this, i can say the same to mou, because when mou win serie a, the condition is the same like when mancini win serie a.. even worse.. okay, i don’t want to talk about who is better… but if you fans, can’t appreciate people that gave so much for the club, than what is it left for them to fight for the club!? and note this 70% of the key player that mou have is built by mancini.. even maicon is his work.. do you think why many player want to work with mancini!? kondogbia would be milan player if we don’t have mancini btw, because milan offer more..
Forza mancini! The guy is actually pushing for a realistic squad. He may lack in tactics but he’s awesome in team building.
