Inter President Erick Thohir welcomed Inter’s newest acquisitions via a statement on the club’s official homepage.
“We would like to welcome our three new signings – Felipe Melo, Alex Telles and Adem Ljajić – to the club.”
“I’m sure that Felipe Melo will further strengthen our midfield options with his physical prowess and battling qualities. Roberto Mancini knows him very well and will be able to harness his technical ability, combative spirit and experience” Thohir continued.
“Telles will add quality and youth to our side. He’s a young, pacy full-back – a good fit for our squad – and he’ll be able to lend us a big hand with his offensive and defensive ability.”
“Ljajić knows Serie A very well and that will help him slot into our squad easily. With his attacking skills and determined approach, he has what it takes to perform at the highest level and I’m sure he will do that at Inter.”
“Welcome aboard and Forza Inter!” Thohir concluded.

Now Mancini has many options in terms of formation, 4312, 4231, 4321, 433, but then again he can’t keep chopping and changing formations
This is how we should play.
Once we lead 2 : 0 for example, Mancini will be able to replace Ljaljic with Melo and Telles with Juan in order to close the match.
Santon and Montoya have to be rotated depending on the form.

i could only say it was an interesting deal done overall. how well? i wait at the end of the season. the objective is still the same, qualify for europe. winning the scudetto this season would be awesome but somewhat a crazy dream. haha. forza inter!
The biggest achievement of today mercato is we are able to completely transform the squad from mediocre squad into a title challenger squad.. we are able to.offload so many deadwoods except nagatomo I guess (but he’s still decent). Now none of our players that are useless like obi, khrin, mvilla, campagnaro, taider, jhonny.. it transformed into miranda murillo kondo perisic etc which are high quality players except for montoya and telles (still has to prove their worth). None of this will be achieved without harmony between thohir, ausilio, fassone and mancini… Mancini in less than a year has made it happened. A truly new solid INTER. 🙂
Yes we lost 3 important players, but the management did right to sell him in order to transform the team in general into a highly functional squad.
What will mancini do with our abundant number of fullback? Dodo,santon, ambro, montoya, dimarco, telles… not to mention JJ. I was hoping naga nand ambro gone 🙁

I remember when Mancini answering journalist that Inter are going to bring 9 or 10 new players. 1. Murillo 2. Miranda 3. Montoya 4. Alex Telles 5. Melo 6. Kondogbia 7. Biabiany 8. Perisic 9. Ljajic aaaaaand Jovetic is our perfect 10! Thank you Thohir, Ausilio, Mancini! All are young except Miranda and Melo. Many fans hate Melo, but still, we need experience player that can protect our King Kond to deliver ball to our great ICs. Every team will mentally go down only by seiing One King Kond with his 2 Pitbulls behind him plus we have Warriors in Murillo, Miranda and of course Batmanovic! Don’t forget we have tons of fullbacks who ready to make injury for injury without worrying about replacement. Nice Mercato! Forza Inter!

Some of them will be gone this winter along with Vidic. So don’t worry, it takes time to bury all those junks. At least Lord Kuz and Lord Schelotto are gone now.

BTW, good luck boys! We can compete with Juve, Roma and other leading clubs in Serie-A!

Then why don’t you appoint Miranda as a club captain? There is nothing easy. I talk lost opportunities. Even we could sign Juan Quintero but people thought that he is very expensive and not for sale blah blah bullshit. Now look at where is Quintero. He is in Rennes.
Berardi is fully owned by Sassuolo now. Jube sold their half ownership few months ago but still retain option to buy him back next year. So no chance at all for Inter to snap Berardi. For Lamela, we have inquired about him but Pochettino rejected us and stated that Lamela will stay, moreover they have no interest at Guarin. Quinteros was a flop last season and didn’t perform well. Porto only wanted to loan him out not selling him, in fact he had a release clause 40 million euros.

It’s a bit disappointing that Eder slipped away. But it was still a really great mercato!
It wasn’t Ausilio’s fault, actually Samp raised Eder’s price to 15 million euros after his brace goals. We’ve met their actual demands 10 million euros and Ferrero gone crazy by raising the price. I had a feeling it’s just a matter of time, perhaps Eder will join Inter at winter mercato.

thohir has really changed the team for the better with all the work he has done. Can’t wait to see the style of attack we will have now. We have an excellent foundation for the start of season and it shows in our wins so far. Now we have to keep it up and do not lose our heads. We only have serie a and coppa italia, we must prepare for every game like it is a scudetto decider

yes I agree with you. I hope for this formation too, and I am thinking that we don’t have the time to train it for the Milan match, BUT one thing is giving me hope : all the players that we have signed, played in 4 2 3 1 or 4 3 3 until now. So they are all familiar how to play this type of formation, which gives us a little hope to see them ready for the Milan match 😉

I don’t think he is. Just like Montoya isn’t starting over Santon, I doubt Telles will start over JJ.
Cambiasso from 2010 puts our whole midfield in his front pocket. 🙂 Kondo has the right stuff to become just as good tho.
