After landing at Malpensa this afternoon to go through the medical examinations, new Inter player Alex Telles spoke his first words to Inter Channel and had the following things to say:
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s the dream of every player to play in a great club like Inter. I’ve always wanted to reach this objective and today I’m here. I want to thank everyone that has believed in my work and I hope to continue to do well. I’m here to play and give everything I got. I want to thank mister Mancini who wanted me here and who has believed in me once again. I want to tell the fans that I will give everything I have to make the team win titles.
I’m expecting great things, I’ve been following Serie A since when I was a child together with my family. I’m very happy to play in this championship. I hope I can help Inter win a lot of titles whilst I’m wearing this shirt. I want to tell the fans that they should expect the most of me, I will prove what I can do which is to play football, with strength, will, determination and risponsibility. I’m here to win and to help my teammates.”

Certainly doesn’t lack self-confidence. But can he be better and take that bench spot from Dodo! 😀
I’ve talked to friends whom religiously follow Turkish League. They said Telles is nothing special. I still don’t get why Mancini got him. I’d rather see D’Ambrosio or JJ play as a left back. Or just use Montoya as a right back, and move Santon to the left side for God’s sake!
