New Inter full back Alex Telles has been speaking in his first press conference since signing from Galatasaray.

Here is what the Brazilian had to say:

“I’m delighted. Signing for Inter is a massive challenge, I have great confidence in Mancini and I’m delighted the club has believed in my ability.”

“I’m a full back and, as such, I have to think about defending too. I know that’s very important in Italy. One of my main strengths is crossing the ball and providing assists. I will work a lot on tactics but I don’t want to lose that habit.”

“As for the derby, I feel good, I had a full pre-season with Galatasaray and played a few games. I’m available for selection and am training as hard as I can.”

“I normally choose number 13, but Fredy Guarin wears that, so I went with 12. I like the number and I hope to make history at the club.”

“I’m pleased to be here with Felipe Melo and to be able to play with him. He’s had a great career, winning a lot of trophies, and he’s the sort of player you’d want in any side.”

“Things have moved very quickly in my career. I’m only 22, I’m at Inter, but I want to keep progressing and working. I really believe that I can keep improving under a manager like Mancini and make the national team.”
