Following question is a bit off-topic and directed at all commentators: What are your opinions on Gary Medel as a fullback? I believe his original role at sevilla was right back and he operated rather effectively.
I strongly believe he’s a useful resource and extremely versatile, would hate for him to be buried in the bench behind melo and brozo. And of course, increased room for golden guy gnou to ply his trade.

He played as a CB when Chile won Copa few months ago. Mancio also has tried him in different defensive positions when needed. He is known for his energy, determination and work rates that still one of the best in Serie A. So we still need him. Obviously, the weakest point of Medel is his height. That’s why Mancio brought Melo who is taller and bigger than Medel. For years, Mancio loves to fill his line ups with similar big towers like Adriano, Ibra, Vieira, JZ, Yaya Toure, Julio Cruz, Melo and so on.
fullback means someone who can cross. too I never see him make a decent cross.
Watching Telles yesterday made me think Juan’s spot as LB isn’t safe. His crossing is good, he’s fast too, tho shooting not so good. Still need to see him against actual professional opponents and in defense, but Juan should watch it.

We outmatch them in most positions. Our players still need time to adjust, but theirs not in great form as well. I watched them against Empoli, they were struggling hard and the win came from individual breakthroughs, not good team play. A win will be a huge morale and confidence boost for our new team.
