Inter came away with all 3 points in their outing at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in Verona after having beaten Chievo 0-1 following Mauro Icardi’s first goal of the season. Mancini’s men have now won 4 wins in a row and maintain their 100% record this season. Below you can see the SempreInter.com’s player ratings of Inter’s players from the lunch match in Verona.
Samir Handanovic – 6: Showed safe hands & commanded his area as we’ve grown used to. Great control of the air & is looking like he’s enjoying his football.
Davide Santon – 6,5: Continues to be reliable & solid in defense whilst always offering an alternative on the right when going forward.
Gary Medel – 7: A beast or pitbull if you will in the central of defense today. Makes mistakes but recovers immediately. Miranda & Medel together against Hellas?
Jeison Murillo – 6: Solid, strong, reads the game well & unbeatable in the air. Injured in the 70th minute & was brought off. Hopefully nothing serious.
Alex Telles – 6: Good debut by the Brazilian. Looks & plays like a natural full-back both in defense as well as in attack. Needs to improve his crossing.
Felipe Melo – 7: This was a match that suited him & so naturally he dominated. Balances technique & physique in a brilliant way. Great start so far.
Geoffrey Kondogbia – 6,5: Possesses everything you need to become a complete midfielder: strength, technique, pace, physique, intelligence. What a signing.
Fredy Guarin – 5,5: Didn’t have a good game at all but what he lacks in quality, he makes up for by working his socks off as well as showing great attitude.
Ivan Perisic – 6: Is working his way into Inter & Italian football. Showed glimpses of his lightning pace but showed today that he’s a team player first and foremost.
Stevan Jovetic – 6: Every action he takes on the pitch oozes of class. Also showed great attitude in helping out in defense & winning the ball back.
Mauro Icardi – 6,5: The assassin strikes like a cobra as half a chance is all he needs. Looking better & better but does seem a bit inhibet by injuries.
Andrea Ranocchia – 6: Came on in the 70th minute for the injured Murillo & was solid. Decent positioning & somewhat ok passing.
Rodrigo Palacio – 6: Was brought on in the 75th minute for an exhausted Jovetic & showed why he’s such an important player to have in the team.
Marcelo Brozovic – : Substituted on in the 85th minute for Kondogbia. Didn’t play long enough to be graded.
Roberto Mancini – 7: Got the tactics spot on today against a Rolando Maran that has got Chievo playign really good football. Good coaching throughout.
Inter – 6: Solid performance by the league leaders after securing the teams 4th win in 4 games. Defense looks good, attack must improve.
Paolo Tagliavento – 6,5: Was consistent for once & allowed a physical game. Some challenges from both teams might have warranted a card but no scandals.

nice display by santon
medel and murillo is not enough, they need a leader
I wonder what Nima was smoking when he was rating the players?!
Melo MOTM?! I can name at least 4 players before Melo who deserved MOTM (Medel, Kondogbia, Santon, Icardi)
Personally, I thought the ref got loads of things wrong today…
I hope Murillo is okay, we really need to have Murillo, Miranda and Medel all ready and fit to play in defense, don’t want to see any Ranocchia or Vidić in there. And people might say we are scraping by on 1 goal victories, but then again, we have 3 clean sheets in 4 games, so we are playing a really sturdy game. 12/12, FORZA INTER.
3 cleansheet of 4. What a solid defense. Fiorentina would be second test after chievo. But honestly I would love to see Ljajic as super sub than Palacio.
you forget about hellas verona this midweek
We must to do better in atack, but definitly in defence we are very good.Kondogbia today played his best match in Inter.Great goal by Maurito!
Finally i heard positive comment from you, thanks mate 🙂
I also agree with the ratings. It was a solid team effort with few errors. Nuff said.
Agree with the ratings 100%
spot on ratings.. great medel show.. forza inter
I didn’t get to see the game today but I’m proud of the team..this was probably the most trickiest game we’ve had and a real test and we succeeded… MANCINI FINALLY PLAYS MEDEL WHERE HE IS BEST…he can play ad cdm as well but his aggression and prowess really shows best when he’s at cb..that’s the most positive change I’ve seen from last year..that also allows melo to play as cdm and offer similar aggressive nature and a strong backbone to the midfield allowing kondogbia to be a bit more creative in addition to the other midfielders..the foward line will start clicking sooner or later so it’s important we grind results out now and as the season progresses we will start winning more emphatically. Don’t worry fellow interisti, better days are coming! Forza inter!
M&M’s are the best..
Medel – Murilo? Miranda – Murilio? or Miranda Medel? XD
Mancini – Mourinho. XD
Manocchia and Montoya LOL
