This was the best game from our squad so far, but… my concern is Icardi- he is not getting balls I mean no balls at all- for him to score will have to wait for a corner or penalty… remember he is not that fast, but he always score even in complicated situations. That 4-2-3-1 that Mancini is speaking of was looking much more like 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. In 4-2-3-1 our wingers would have to be positioned much higher up the pitch, in this game Inter couldn’t do it because Cuadrado is a fuckin menace so Perisic was forced to help out Juan (who was getting skinned all the time by Cuadrado, bad game from him in my opinion) constantly and Brozovic is not a real winger.
It’s a shame that we couldn’t get Cuadrado, Perisic on one wing and Cuadrado on the other would be amazing.
First half was very good, I would give it 7.5/10, goal was missing for something more. But the second half was a whole different story, I don’t know what went wrong, many wrong passes, many lost duels and we were unable to play the ball out of defence every time Juve tried to press us high. Very bad second half.
Our best player yesterday was Medel, personally I’m not a fan of him as a midfielder, but he did really good yesterday.
Player that annoyed me the most was Jovetic, that guy is so soft in duels, my 80-year-old grandma would destroy him in a duel. Other than that he was good but I really don’t like soft players so he won’t ever be a favorite of mine.

I didn’t meant just this match, he’s genuinely very soft, it’s probably one of the reasons he didn’t make it in England, their referees tend not to give away easy fauls.
One team is composed of a few elements, management, coach, players, supporters. I’m sorry to say that, but in my opinion Mancini is the weakest link. He’s weak in tactics, lack of flexibility, can’t change the game with right substitutes, he’s too stubborn and always prefer to play on safe. I wanna say that we shouldn’t be blinded, we’re not competitors for Scudetto and if we manage to finish in top three, will be huge achievement. And stop calling people with different than your opinion haters, it’s very childish.

I’m not happy with the result. We should be winning all of our home games. On the returning leg we are going to have Juve away and Fiorentina away.

I am happy with the point. We have understood some very important things from this match and if we take notice we can really fight for the scudetto until the end.
1. Great first half because of the tactics and formation : 4 2 3 1 with Brozovic as a right winger because Ljajic and Biabiny are not ready yet.
2. Jovetic played his best match and this is because he was used as advanced AMC in a formation that he knows very well 4 2 3 1. He is our Sneijder that scores even more goals.
3. Once we have Ljajic and Biabiny back. We have to start with 4 2 3 1 – Handanovic, Santon Miranda Murillo Juan, Medel Melo (Kondogbia in the second half or depending on the form we can do the other scenario), Ljajic (Biabiny can enter the second half if we need a goal or if the game is not ok, but if we lead 1 or 2 goals we can substitute him with Kondogbia (Melo) in order to close the game with hard 4 3 3)) …. Jovetic has to play in this AMC role behind Icardi and Perisic has to play on the left ( and he can change positions with Ljajic every 20-30 minutes in order to have the “inpredictable” profile team.
4. If ever Jovetic is injured Ljajic can replace him and we can play Biabiny on the right with Palacio as a substitution.
FINALLY – I see a bright future for this team, we can compete for the scudetto guys.
finally somebody with patience. Too many people here seem to expect greatness right away. We were a mid table team 6 months ago and now many expect to be top caliber, especially early in the season. We need to patient as I believe the second half of the season will be much better with more stable matches and more use of wingers, especially Ljajic or a new winger from the January window. As we’re looking for a flexible team, I see even Guarin is an acceptable choice for right winger, he’s not a winger, sure, but he has pace, strength & stamina. Many times we see he ran like a drill to the line and made good low & strong crosses. Besides all “notorious” things, Guarin still always a weapon we can rely on.
he played as one for a couple of months under Raneiri and Juve was on him, remember? He has some nice crosses as well!
