He has been lacking form the last few games though. He has shown potential but it is like he tries to do too much at the same time. Maybe it is because his high pricetag? I don’t know, but I think it is best for him and the team if he gets to settle into the new environment before we start to demand too much of him. And besides, Brozovic did a good job against Juventus, and Guarin can play solid versus weaker teams. No need to rush anything.
I’d pick him over 32 years old Melo any second, minute, hour, day in my life!

I am! but not over Kondo. He has too much talent to be on the bench.
The “beast” gave us a victory and security in the midfield, so we were able to use Medel as CB and avoid to use Rano. But just look at what Kondo has gave us so far…. insecurity he lost too many balls, overpriced- expectation but that’s all- however hopefully he will improve!
I wouldn’t. Melo has been one of our best players so far this season, whilst Kondogbia offers more insecurity than creativity, in my opinion.
But atleast he offers something different, yes brozo was decent but can he help WIN us games not just hold the opposition down
In my opinion, he offers more insecurity than creativity at the moment. Hopefully he got some confidence with the goal he scored, but for now we need to trust Mancio.
I wonder if people like Melo this much, why we gave Cambiasso away?!! He offers so much more than Melo with the same amount of physicality. The main reason why we dropped our captain was his lack of ability to run at the age of 34, and rejuvenating the team. But now we are back at sq1 with Melo.
He’s a defensive midfielder whilst Mancini continues to make him an attacking central midfielder. So basically, he needs time.
