Inter drew for the third match in a row in the Serie A when Roberto Mancini’s men played 1-1 away against Palermo at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. Ivan Perisic gave the Nerazzurri the lead but his goal was equalled by Alberto Gilardino who scored his 180th career Serie A goal.
Samir Handanovic – 6: Did what he needed to do without any fuss. Didn’t stand a chance when Palermo equalized. Solid performance by the Slovenian.
Yuto Nagatomo – 5,5: Gave a decent performance despite relying on Medel to save him after he lost the ball a couple of times.
Joao Miranda – 6,5: Best player on the pitch. Has become the leader in Inter’s defense that the club has been looking for since Walter Samuel’s hay days.
Jeison Murillo – 6: Solid as ever & shows true passion & a will to win. Sent off after a Franco Vazquez dive after receiving his 2nd yellow card.
Alex Telles – 6: Good in defense & always an option when going forward. Delivers dangerous crosses & sacrifices himself for the team.
Fredy Guarin – 5,5: Put in good crosses & his shooting wasn’t wasteful as he usually is. Unlucky not to score but will be remembered for not passing Jovetic.
Gary Medel – 6: Incredibly dependable & solid defensively. Has the ability of pressuring his opponents without conceding free-kicks.
Geoffrey Kondogbia – 5: Isn’t enjoying a good run of form, in fact he was Inter’s worst player today. Shows glimpses of his talent but too inconsistently.
Ivan Perisic – 6: Got on the scoresheet again & gave a solid performance throughout the match. Delivered good crosses & was a constant threat.
Stevan Jovetic – 6,5: If Inter are to create something it’s down to Jovetic to create it. As he did when finding Biabiany with a great ball when Inter scored.
Mauro Icardi – 5: Completely invisible yet again. Sure, he doesn’t get a lot of support but he isn’t exactly causing the opposing defenders any grief.
Jonathan Biabiany – 6,5: Very good performance by the Frenchman. Got an assist for Perisic’s goal & unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.
Adem Ljajic – 6: Good game by the Serbian international. Great crosses & corners as well as dangerous when counterattacking. Must start next match.
Andrea Ranocchia – : Brought on in the 85th minute & didn’t play long enough to be rated.
Roberto Mancini – 5,5: Got the tactics somewhat wrong, especially in the 1st half when Inter were impotent when going forward. Good substitutions.
Inter’s performance – 5,5: Winning against a Lazio that has only lost one other Serie A fixture since New Year is impressive. To come back from a goal down and away in Rome and win is even more impressive but the mark is mitigated by the 2 red cards which stopped Lazio from being able to mount a serious challenge.
Daniele Doveri – 5: Destroyed the match by making one incorrect decision after another. Incredibly picky & ruined the rhythm of the match by constantly blowing his whistle.

ONLY 6 for Ljajic?!!! Ljiajic had a fantastic performance. Sorry Nima, but you got it wrong again!
Let’s be honest. Kondogbia hasn’t got a good enough technique to play the role. he needs to play as CDM, preferably in a 4-2-3-1 like he did in Monaco. With Medel, Melo or Gnokouri next to him. Next game, i’d play like this: (i know you wo’t give a shit but i like to tell my fav)
Santon – Miranda – Medel – Jesus (he played good this season, and gives more coinfidence defending/heading.) Kondogbia – Melo
Perisic – Ljaic – biabiany (Brozovic maybe, like Juventus to have a more stable team) . Jovetic striker. (he has the same height as Icardi, but defends ball better. He can dribble 1v1, shoot, or get out of the box. The famous “fake 9”, like messi at barca)
yeah I would like to see this too but medel has been brilliant, struggling to decide weather to replace melo or kdog tho lol
Edit: just had another look at your line up and realised you’ve got medel in defence because of Murillo suspension, so actually I completely agree, this would be the line up I’d like to see too…
Yes. Despite the goal i keep thinking Icardi isn’t good enough. Now beacuse the goal he’ll be hyped again .. no matter how it was done. P.S. I’m starting to think that Melo shuldn’t be starter. Medel, if both CB’s are available, otherwise maybe Brozovic. he’s young and the second half , on that role, 11vs10, he did good. Showed good technique and positioning. Melo at the end doesn’t give too much to the game development. Also, he often gets yellow and he makes me nervous cuz i’m scared he gets the second one.. also he’s 33
Benching Murrilo?! wow. Murrilo is a gift from God, that you don’t bench!
I said it because he had a red card!
we need eriksen from TOT.
One of my favorite players but i don’t think Mancini is looking for a playmaker like him. We will probably get a new winger though and while Eriksen can operate on the wing we will probably look for a technical dribbler with pace.
ERIKSEN LIKE PIRLOO ;). I WAS RIGHT
good subs? why bring Rano when in past games Mancio always prefer Medel rather him. rather sub Palacio or another attacking minded player
This draw is on mancini. Maybe now that murillo is suspended, he will actually be afraid enough that he will use his best players
42 balls lost just by playing these two. sigh….
show it to Mancini, but i bed he wont give a shit. lol
This is why I passionately hate Guarin.
Lets be clear – If Guerin wasn’t the greedy SOB that he is, Inter would probably have got the 3 points. It is him I would like to see benched.
Inter’s performance – 5,5: Winning against a Lazio that has only lost one other Serie A fixture since New Year is impressive. Copy paste error 🙂
