In defense Gary Medel partners with Joao Miranda due to Murillo’s suspension whilst Davide Santon is back replacing Yuto Nagatomo. Meanwhile in midfield, Felipe Melo will partner up with Geoffrey Kondogbia whilst up front Mauro Icardi is supported by Ivan Perisic, Stevan Jovetic and Rodrigo Palacio.
Inter’s probable lineup (4-2-3-1): 1 Handanovic; 21 Santon, 25 Miranda, 17 Medel, 12 Telles; 83 F. Melo, 7 Kondogbia; 8 Palacio, 10 Jovetic, 44 Perisic; 9 Icardi (C).

Palacio is not young, he can not play on the wings. Truthfully if he plays he should be either a striker or second striker/attacking midfielder and I know Mancini is doing this because his saving up for the upcoming match vs Roma, however he can play either biabiany or ljajic for this match and the other for Roma’s match. Palacios should be used as a sub for both games for his experience on the field and allowing rest time for any player needing a sub. It’s as simple as that really!!!

I have a really tingling feeling that we need a guy who picks passes in midfield, we dont try enough and/or our players don’t have that ability. Need gnoukouri in somewhere, he is the only guy that can because guarin is too inconsistent, he used to but now he just chips in aimless long balls.

He’s not a winger in a 4-2-3-1. He’s right with this formation w.e wing Ljajic plays will suffer defensively bc he does nothing in the department at all. And the wings in this formation has to help in defense.
