Icardi is great, but he does not fit this system. We are scoring via individual brilliance and set pieces. While we will play such a defensive game, Icardi will not succeed. He is a poacher for offensive teams like Roma who can provide him. Without good balls, he is not exceptional at creating chances, he is the one that finishes the chances that players like Jovetić create.

he needs to improve his 1st touch, ball shielding, passing, and running with the ball, with him, our attack lacks fluidity as his touch and passing is really bad, instead of complaining he lacks service, he needs to improve how to support the attacking build up, if he can help the attacking build up the team can provide him more passes too. Maybe he can take reference from Milito, how he support the attacking build up.

actually, Perisic’s output has been very minimal or at least outshone by Brozovic. The latter was superb these last few games

You know, he’s an offensive player. I agree his work-rate is amazing willing to run from one end to another, but his occasional mistakes as well as his overall offensive throughput has been fairly minimal.
