Big no to this move. We are where we are at the moment because of our energetic midfield. Our players press, tackle and foul opposing midfielders so we can play on the counter. Pirlo can’t contribute to that. Plus, he is way past his best days. I watch MLS quite often because I like to bet on their teams and Pirlo makes a truckload of mistakes every game. He regressed to Guarin level.
I think he should just be used as an option off the bench if we are struggling to break the smaller teams down. Add a bit of craft. Just a short term loan.
