One of the biggest surprises from Inter’s starting eleven last week against Roma was the exclusion of Mauro Icardi. Now, La Gazzetta Dello Sport have had their say on how Mancini will set up his side for Inter’s upcoming match against Torino. The tactician will play a 4-2-3-1 formation. Icardi should return to the starting eleven as the lone striker. Ivan Perisic, Adem Ljajic, and Stevan Jovetic will play behind the Argentine in attack. In midfield, the impressive Marcelo Brozovic is expected to take a rest and be replaced by Geoffrey Kondogbia. Felipe Melo is expected to partner the Frenchman in midfield. The back four will remain relatively the same, with Alex Telles expected to replace Yuto Nagatomo in the left-back position.

i certantly do think a 4-2-3-1 is a better suited to our current players. i just don’;’t think mancini has the balls to field the team in a such an attacking formation.we don’t the the depth to play a 433 for a full season.

Icardi doesnt do well as a lone striker, so I hope that he learnt a thing or two from jovetic last game against Roma.
I think JJ should play instead of telles to anticipate quick counter from torino. As for the midfield I really dont argue with whose will play. They are all good even though medel and brozovic are currently in their best form.
please play medel and brozovic, they are clearly our best midfielders currently and this is a tough match…so no resting key players
I hope they do end up playing 4-2-3-1, so Kondogbia can finally play in a double pivot role, where he was an absolute beast for Monaco.
I thought Melo was suspended for 2 games. One for the yellows and another for the red.
Anyway wee finally get to see this line up. I do expect JJ to play to give more defensive stability.
Well it’s about time this was tried but lets hope it doesn’t leave us too exposed when being countered!
