After his season debut against Roma Danilo D’Ambrosio got another game today against his old team Torino. Here is what he had to say to FcInternews.it after the game.
“It is a great moment for me and Inter. I always try to make it hard for the coach to choose his team by working hard during practice and giving my all when I get the chance to play. Torino can give problems to all teams, at the beginning of the second half they created some dangerous chances but then we did well to control the game. Coming back here is always emotional, compared to last year there were less whistling (towards me) and it made me glad.”
D’Ambrosio has no problems with people seeing other teams as the favorites.
“For us it is ok that people say we are not as good as the other teams and that the favorites are Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina. We need to develop under a tactical and technical point of view, but we have great margins to develop. We go to the international break as leaders, this is important.”
As for how the team is playing, this is how he sees it.
“Few goals scored? There is no set number of goals to say how to reach an objective. We are a solid team, we concede few goals and that is thanks to the whole team. When you win many games with 1-0 then that is a signal, also from the coach that gives a winning mentality to the team. The 3-5-2 is not new, he has tried several formations and before the game he told us how we would play and which players would play. I think we played well. Murillo? He is ok it was just a small inconvenience.”
And lastly about the national team:
“To create problems for Conte I need to work hard during the week and be ready when Sunday comes.”
