Really! I’m Inter fan from 1992 and i can tell you that we in all those years with Moratti trying to play football, not catenaccio. I don’t wanna watch tiki-taka, but at least some football, not some kind of rugby or something.
Remind me how many of those years brought results before Mancini’s arrival? We all loved seeing the likes of Ronaldo, Vieri and other superstars Morratti brought in wear the black and blue (myself included) but sometimes superstars at the front aren’t enough

I don’t think Icardi is bad, but if we continue to play a system like this, we need to sell him. He won’t work in such a defensive lineup where we rely on creativity like Jovetić has in order to score. It would be a shame to have like €30-40m sitting on the bench.
Sad to say but you’ve got a really good point. If the rumours regarding interest from Madrid/EPL are true then we’d do well to sell him for a vast sum and reinvest to suit the play style
It’s very bad, how Inter is dependent from Icardi, he is the reason why Palacio is starting with him, because he’s only one his servant! One game without Mauro, and he goes crazy. Jojo, Ljajic, they are better (technically and creativity at least), and don’t cooperate well with Icardi, because he didn’t fight well for the ball, and creating chances for the others, like Milito, and what I see now in Lewandowski. I’m afraid that we must sell Icardi asap, because his mind is almost the same like Balotelli…
Bullshits! Icardi and old man Palacio are the only two real forwards we have. Jovetic and Ljaic are midfielders, can be wingers if it’s needed. If you believe that we can be successful in long term mainly with defensive players 7-8 plus some offensive midfielders, without real forwards. And if you like the way we play catenaccio, it’s your right, but i don’t.

I expect him to be more active. Look at palacio, the guy is 33 and he runs more than icardi ffs. Icardi is just a lazy player who expects perfect passes to score a goal.
Icardi is number nine, Palacio is second striker. It’s obvious, that every second striker runs more than central forward. Yes, Palacio works more than Icardi, but he’s contribution in attack is around zero and effectiveness, where is his main job is far away from Icardi’s.

He knew he would extend the ball, I’m saying he got lucky because he had no vision of where he is going to pass it. He didn’t see behind him who was waiting, all he did is extend the ball and hope for the best. And it was the best case scenario. It wasn’t some brilliantly planed header.

I think he is trying to keep the middle of the field solid and work the wings to feed palacio and icardi. Look at melo and medel!!. He must be trying to get nagatomo and d’ambrosio to build off their past game. Also kondog looks more like an attacking midfielder in this formation, so will be interesting to see.. Not my preferred starting 11 but we only allow 3 goals in 6 games when we have murillo and miranda <3 I also feel this formation is for icardi. To give him goals. I’m not entirely sure but I assume that’s why he chose this formation.
