Inter president Erick Thohir has been speaking in an interview to Guerin Sportivo about the Nerazzurri’s upcoming transfer market and the club’s chances of winning the Scudetto.
“I can assure that new players will come because as I’ve said since my arrival, Inter need to be back in the Champions League. We are in a position to do that as well as winning Serie A, I didn’t see that coming.”
“Pirlo to Inter? He’s absolutely one of the greatest but you have to ask Mancini, and of course you have to ask Pirlo.”
“We want to strengthen the squad and we also want to improve our type of play.”

Yes, wee need more creativity. If we add that to our play, for sure we will be title contenders. We have a solid defence. That is very important. When the foundation is good, like now with Murillo, Miranda and Melo and Medel upfront than we can aim to grow further. Actually inter need also some decent wingbacks who can give good crosses. Inter can go all the way this season. And Thohir knows that.

For now if you look at the table, yes. But, I believe that in the long term, lack of goals will break us. Imagine if inter concede a goal, than they have a problem. Because they need to score at least 2 to win. It is already difficult to score 1 goal. Just like at the Fiorentina game. The foundation collpased.
Milan can do thar at capello era with few goals. Why we can’t? We naturally had cattenacio’s DNA. We win scudetto is a must,but beautiful games is a bonus. Let’s hope that inter wins the league with 38 goals ;). For sure, it is possible. But like a good company, you need to sketch certain scenarios. What you say is one scenario what I say can be another. It is not bad to be prepared for worst case scenario. It means you have calculated it and enhances the vision and the mission of the club. If inter can score more goals, the element of risk will be decreased. As a fan I am always happy if inter wins.
