Roberto Mancini has been speaking to the media in his pre match press conference today ahead of Inter’s matchday 13 fixture against Frosinone at the San Siro on Sunday 22 November 2015 (kick off 20:45 CET).

Tomorrow you can improve from last year, when Inter struggled against the ‘small’ teams?

“You think it’s easy to play games like this but they are a good team. They have demonstrated that they can do well this season. It will not be a match to be took for granted. In football today there are no easy games.”

The partnership between Jovetic-Icardi struggling?

“They first have to play together, to know each other better and then to look for each other all the time. They have only played together for a short time, they have room to improve.”

The constant changes in training?

“It changes on various factors, such as international commitments. Again it depends on many things but I have many players ready to start if called. The only one who hasn’t played is Montoya, I hope he will soon get his chance.”

Can you give us the starting line up like Stellone has?

“For me it’s difficult as I have to evaluate the players who were away on international duty. I can give you some names, Handanovic, Kondogbia, Nagatomo and Felipe Melo.”

What is your opinion on the attacks in Paris?

“It’s something dramatic, there are crazy people everywhere, regardless of religion. I’m very sorry that these events have affected the lives of a lot of people.”

What is Inter’s perspective today? Is the Scudetto the goal?

“There are many teams at the top, each one can be in the fight. We need to do well in front of our fans. Then we will think about facing Napoli.”

What is missing to convince the skeptics?

“We have to convince ourselves and continue to work and improve. The more we improve the more confidence we will have.”

Does Inter’s position reflect the value of the team?

“We have done something more but there is still something missing. We must be better at the implementation phase, then the rest is not bad. We are solid and all do their duty.”

What must you still improve?

“We must continue our defensive level. In Turin we did well, avoiding conceding a goal in the last 15 minutes of the second half, because falling too far back can always bring pressure.”

The market may be useful?

“I read that we are buying everyone (laughs). We have to improve with our current players, then we might take someone who can make a difference right away. For now though we have not talked about anything yet.”

New faces in a team that is doing well could bring risks?

“It can’t be excluded. It is not easy for a player who arrives in January to integrate right away, except maybe Ronaldo or Messi (laughs).

What do you think of Sensi?

“He is very young and has quality. He must grow a lot but he has personality and I like that.”

To win the Scudetto, you have to score more than once in games?

“Many teams have collected measured results. Of course, we want to score a few more goals but being solid matters a lot.”

There is the feeling that Jovetic and Icardi may struggle to play together?

“The defence can be solid even with both in the team. They need to play together more. They have played 6 or 7 games, it takes time but we expect many goals from both.”

Will they play together tomorrow?

“I do not know, lets see.”

Juventus-Milan, are you on the side of Mihajlovic?

“I hope that those who are with us at the top lose, I have no preference for this game.”

FCIN – Biabiany could start?

“He is growing a lot but still needs time. We think he will be ready for December but he is improving.”

FCIN – Ranocchia and Vidic, what are your thoughts in view of January?

“This is the first talk. In the field we have these defensive players. If anything were to happen, for example, a specific request to play more elsewhere, then we will talk.”

Ausilio has been following Sensi and also Grujic?

“Grujic and Sensi are very young although they have different characteristics. But there are other players around, maybe Ausilio also greeted others (laughs). Both however have no bearing on our midfield. They are both good players.”

Finally, after the events in Paris, do you believe football is being targeted by terrorism?

“This is a very big tragedy that has happened and there are many places at risk. Unfortunately in the world there are many interests.”
