During the press conference before the match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Jose Mourinho has explained the reason why he believes in the win of the Champions League with Chelsea:
“Sometimes not favourite squads can win. When I was at Inter and Porto we weren’t in the top 10 but at the end we won. This competition is always unpredictable”.

We didn’t have Messi or CR7 but our defence was rock solid, our defensive midfielders immense and Eto’o was superb. To top it all 2010 Sneijder deserved the Ballon d’or and Milito was lethal. As a team we were the best counterattacking machine on the continent, without a doubt.
Mou is with Chelsea now to be fair. And he’s under pressure supposedly so he says what he has to for them. No insult taken at all
Come on… I’m not kissing Mou’s ass. He’s saying what he has to say for his job.
But we beat Chelsea, Barca and Bayern on the way to that UCL. We were in the top 5 in the world that year imo…
Ehh, we had the best defense in the world that year, we had the best goalkeeper, we had the best playmaker (who should have won the Ballon D’or), we had arguably the best striker, we had the best coach back when he was special one and we had Eto’o. That legendary team entered the CL group stages atleast as a contendor for reaching finals and undoubtedly a Top5 team.
Yeah, we didn’t have sexy players like Becks and Bales in our squad to be at top 10.
But keep it in your mind Mou, we had one of the top ten most passionate squads with players who would rather die with their shirts than lose.
Mou, sign Dani Alves. He becomes like you, at least in press conference. ^_^
