“The proposal for Calleri is very beneficial for him and for us: the most probable scenario is his transfer, even if the final decision is to be made by the new management”. Said Daniel Angelici, the president who is leaving Boca Jrs (elections will be held on Sunday), who then added: “He will be bought at 99% by an english investment fund and will then go and play in Italy”.
For the argentine forward – states todays edition of Clarin – a future in the Serie A is probable, maybe at Inter where he would join compatriots Mauro Icardi and Rodrigo Palacio who would welcome him. According to the newspaper of Buenos Aires, the club value the player – who in Italy must obtain a work permit – at 10 million Euros.

Any good or just another Ricky?? BTW 3. Party owners hips are banned in Europe and in Italy as well so if some English investing fond owners him, he won’t join us I guess!
Icardi can’t play as lone striker, he need to play in 2 striker formation and act as a Poacher. Last season Palacio did the hard work to open up space and feed him so he can be top scorer. This season Mancini change our attacking system, that expose Icardi weakness. I’m in for cash in him asap, as team who play 2 striker formation is rare nowadays.
Icardi is one of the best. We have almost an entirely new team just need time to gel. Also need to improve our FBs & MF, and then Mancini needs to make it happen…. You don’t score 22 goals as a 22yr old by accident in Italy, he is good. If we are trying to take Inter back to the top we need Icardi. We will really regret selling him.
Perhaps he’ll come to replace Palacio and not Icardi?I know it’s a wishful thinking but one can dream.

does things that icardi struggles to do. like link up play and 1v1. we need someone who can play as a lone striker. icardi can’t do it.
I don’t think Icardi would welcome him with open arms :p especially if Mancio still wants to utilize formation with lone striker up front
this signals icardi’s departure. he’s lack of effort and him not fitting in is hindering our attacks. i’m sure everyone agree with me in that we’ve been better without him in the starting 11. i guess it’s time for us to sell.
I’m reluctant to admit it but it’s probably true. At least Inter can get a solid fee for him in return, what with english squads getting so hyped for him.
I will disagree with you. Icardi is typical number nine, he’s still very young nand still goalscorer of Serie A. The problem is that Mancini use ultra defensive scheme and every forward will struggle if he have to play lone striker with three defensive midfielders behind his back and with total lack of support, good crosses and opportunities.
“every forward will struggle if he have to play lone striker” that’s not fully correct. icardi doesn’t have the ability to hold up the play or take on 1v1 or create for himself or others. he lacks basic footballing skills. all he knows to do is finish chances. that’s why he’s not doing good.
i’m really not being harsh on him. we’ve played very well without him while fielding the same “3 defensive midfielders”.
i think it’s a win-win to sell him.
Spot On mate!
cuz he’s a poacher
Not true, Mancini seems to be wanting to
Play like they do in Eurpoe with a “false” number nine and that’s where Icardi doesn’t fit in, but where Jojo and even Ljajic on top fits perfectly in due to theirs mobility!
