Sevilla is making moves for Andrea Ranocchia according to Estadio Deportivo. Unai Emery’s club has Ranocchia as their main target for the January mercato and the reigning Europa League champions need to sign a central defender after Andreolli’s injury. According to the newspaper there’s optimism from the Sevilla directors over the signing of Ranocchia.

As far as I know, also Liverpool want him, saying more specific – Jurgen Klopp, he wanted Ranocchia also when he was in Dortmund. Don’t know, if it’s true, but he was ready to pay +10M. I wonder, what Klopp see in him…

With all due respect to jj his positioning is atrocious as a cb.But yes medel would work well though he functions best in a 3 man backline as opposed to mancini’s back four
I think Juan is a more consistent defender than Froggy, and i think his time as LB have helped his positioning. Froggy make critical errors in most matches and not able to recover. Juan makes mistakes too, but he is much better at recovering them himself.
