Rodrigo Palacio and Inter are continuing talks to keep the forward with the Nerazzuri. FcInterNews have learned that the player’s entoruage and Inter’s directors are working hard to iron out all the details in order to make everything official in January. The terms being discussed is a 1 year extension with an option to extend for another year, until June 2018 if certain conditions are met. These specific conditions is what the parties are discussing, where the players wages would be much lower than what he earns now. The extension itself isn’t being discussed and could arrive during the first week in January.

yes.. he is 33.. and he is not the same Palacio.. but still for a much lower wage he is a good backup player with tons of Inter experience.. and it’s 1 year + 1 year extension.. so if he didn’t prove his worth Inter simply will not extend.. I think it’s a logical move

As for cuchu, thohir went out of his way to put him out like a dog since cuchu had way too much power at the club. The biggest disgrace of the thohir era is how he treated cuchu

he’s not good as a back up. why would you want us to spend 3.2m on a 33 year old back up striker!!. it’s pointless. i’d rather get one of the primavera players to be a back rather than a 33 year old has been.
33 years old runs more than most players at Inter!

can he outperform jovetic, ljajic? no. he may run alot but he has lost his touch. while we renew his contract and he’ll get paid more than both of them!!! why would you want to pay 3m+ for someone to sit on the bench?
He may have lost his touch, but he’s a good back up, Obviously he cannot outperform them because ur argument is invalid. Palacio in his prime would outperform Jovetic+Perisic+Ljajic. But just because he’s getting old doesn’t mean you get rid of him. He isn’t the problem at Inter nor is he dead weight. Get rid of Vidic, Dodo, Nagatomo and Rannochia. 3M isn’t much either, Inter is in great financial form right now. They can renew and buy 3 other players
Offer extention reducing 35% per year for him. Its better because experienced striker was always be needed in a team and in that terms, Palacio is one of the best back-up.
But Palacio doesn’t cost the team a penalty and a red card 😉

He’s an excellent backup with experience, intelligence, guile and humility.
Not flash but hard running and helps the team. Gets into many dangerous positions.
