Which will be the best signing in the Serie A?
“El Shaarawy’s return will be the best signing”
Who’s the favorite for the scudetto?
“Juventus and Inter has something more than the other teams but Napoli is impressive. I can see a three man race until the last round.”
Are you happy for the renewal of Handanovic’s contract?
“Samir is one of the three best goalkeepers in Europe. He was suffering last year because there was no stability in the club but since he shook Thohir’s hand last summer, and he decided to remain, he has been calm.”
Were Roma and Arsenal close to buy him?
“Both teams made inquiries but none of them were convinced. His will to remain in Italy in an ambitious Inter were decisive for the rest.”
Will Candreva ever leave Lazio?
“Every year he gets 2-3 important offers that Lotito sends back because the player wants to stay. What can happen in 6 months, I don’t know. If there are new proposals we will talk about them with the president because the players go through moments that can’t last forever. If Del Piero left Juventus I don’t know if it’s the right thing to keep Candreva at Lazio in the summer.”
Does Mancini like Candreva?
“You need to ask him, but seeing how Inter plays, I think he would be perfect.”
The surprise on the mercato?
“Together with my colleague Andrea Moretti I believe a lot in Barba, he has qualities, concentration and tactical intelligence.”
