Today Jonathan Calleri’s father Guillermo Calleri spoke to Calciomercato and made some strong verdicts about his son’s next club :
“Jonathan will go to Deportivo Maldonado. We have an agreement with the club. We will evaluate the possibilities after. The boy wants to play in Italy, but he wants a to play for a club that are willing to invest in him. Palermo are interested in Jonathan, and they are an important club with a good coach in Guillermo Schelotto. They would be perfect for him. We will see if a deal materializes. His non EU status? We are closing in on resolving the situation. The process of achieving a dual nationality is nearly complete. I will be in Italy before January 28th with Jonathan, and he will become a community player in all aspects. Inter did not show the proper respect for Jonathan. There will be no deal with them and even Bologna pulled out.”
