Former Inter striker Roberto Boninsegna spoke about the current state of Mancini’s team and Inter getting beaten convincingly in the Coppa Italia in the first leg against Juventus with Radio Radio: “I was expecting this Juventus to show up, but not so poor an Inter: 3-0 says everything. Icardi? last year he made 20 goals with Palacio on the shoulder and played in a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-1-2. This year, it started with a 4-3-3 and the Argentine is a solitary figure. He is a player who is seeking a personal solution.”.

That’s why Eder is coming, I think Mancini wants to use a 4-4-2 with Eder and Icardi upfront, Ljajic and Perisic on the wings, Banega and Medel as centre mids
but we don’t have Banega yet- crucial weekend in the TM-
It is obvious he is not a target man…it makes it even worse when nobody in the team seems to be able to deliver constant, quality crosses or even make dome decent through balls to him…kicking the ball into spaces and letting him run into it is not the best idea for Icardi…he’s no target man and it’s either 1.You give him a good striker pairing(with jovetic underperforming hopefully eder brings a breath of fresh air) or 2. You get a quality midfielder to feed the ball in at Icardi’s feet which Imo is what he’s good at…ball at his feet in the 30 yard area and he will create an opportunity to score. The other option is to sell him and then you might see a more fluid attack as with him on top the movement is pretty static but oh well…I know Mancini and co. will work things out.I trust them 100%.
