Gaffer Roberto Mancini ahead of Verona game spoke to Inter Channel before the press conference. Here are his words.
On the suspension – “The best thing I missed was the interviews after the game (he laughs). But it’s always better to be on the bench, even if those who took my place did a good job. It went well”.
With Chievo, the work of the full backs and wingers were good – “They played a good game, it was an important victory. We created a lot, but we have to do better at taking these opportunities because then we suffer till the end. Even all of the forwards did a great job, because they defended when they had to defend and attacked when they had to attack”.
On Verona – “In the last month they changed formation and so have achieved positive results. They probably don’t deserve last place in the standings. We’ll have to be very careful”.

What is happening to Inter’s defense and the team at large?. I can see now that the water tight defense
is now water loose defense.. Opponents have now mastered how to tear the defense apart towards the tail of the game,
because they relax and are ever confused. You shouldn’t relax until the final
whistle. You do this most of the time, and you have paid dearly for your
defensive miscues. I don’t know if over confidence, tiredness/fatigue are to be
blamed for this. Mancini should seriously work on the stamina of the defenders,
they strive to be resolute, and not to cave in or succumb under intense
pressure. Such pressure should be overcome by attacking your opponents also.
The team should look at other teams and see how they fight back. They should
also realize that the form of defense is attack This is a great defense, and as
such they don’t have to crumble under pressure. I hope you’re gonna turn this
nonsense around starting from your next game, because your opponents are
capitalizing on this weakness of yours to hurt you. Mancini should wake you
guys up from this slumber. I hope he hasn’t run out steam, if so, he should
pack his things and leave, because it’s likely he’s got nothing else to offer.
The management should safe the from a disastrous end by getting rid of Mancini,
ASAP .PERIOD.

At the beginning of the 1st half of the season, we are happy to lead 1-0, and protected it until the end without even occur the feeling to add another goals. We have that happy winning feeling and will just wait until the final whistle.
While nowadays, preassure as one of the topflight in serie a, when the pappers always scrutinized small thing and we as fans always demands better. That feeling creeping in to the players, they felt it isn’t enough, it’s not safe to just won 1-0, so we try to add until the last minutes, which is VERY dangerous. With low confidence, fatigue and naturally drop level of concentration, the team will get demoralized on each failure attacks and scared on the counter. That’s why if its reach 75 minutes mark, and we are winning 1-0, dont need to add another goals, just wait until the games ends, and im talking with the current quality and characteristic of our team. At another day and different circumstances, it would be different approach.
