Inter breaks their silenzio stampa through coach Roberto Mancini who talks to Inter Channel:
“It’s a difficult moment, against Fiorentina it was a good game apart from the beginning when they had two or three chances before we found our positions on the field. Then they had their possession and we did well but let goals in due to our own mistakes. We need to keep focusing and we can not give up because there’s very many games that are still left. Thohir’s faith in us? To construct a winning team we need time. Inter is back at least a year compared to the rest and we know that we need some time. We have to get through difficult moments like this, until December we did very well but there are always tough moments during the season. That’s when we need to be strong, get back up and not give up, even if the delusions are many. We have to keep working, be more concentrated and calm. We need the support from our fans, of course they are angry when we lose but we need them because they’ve been excellent so far. The ritiro? We’re here from tomorrow to work calmly and have a liberal mind to focus on the next game. We hope everything will go well.”

You always change the formation every matches. How can your player find chemistry to understand each other? Our untouchable regular starters are only Handa, Murillo, Miranda, medel, and Icardi. Handa, Murillo, and Miranda almost play in every matches, so that’s why they can build a good chemistry for our solid defense in first half season. Meanwhile, Medel always gets different partner on midfield. Same thing happened to Icardi. Jovetic, Perisic, and Ljajic have specific characteristic to work with. Jovetic can do some unimaginable passes even in difficult position, Ljajic can penetrate and cut inside with his skill, and Perisic can take his opponent with his pace. The problem is Mancio never had a fix composition on midfield and attackers
we will hear this every week until the season end until we realize that we are at the bottom of the table
Mancinis way of building the team / using the players reminds me of a Ibra quote after he had a meeting with Pep: “I’m a Ferrari, but you are driving me as if I were a Fiat.”
Mancini is doing this by forcing players into his non-existing system rather than using the best players in their best positions. Besides that, he doesn’t even give them time to adjust properly because he is rotating like a mad man and changing formation ALL THE TIME. Look at what has become of players like Kondo, Perisic, Jovetic (not a playmaker!) and is already happening to out-of-position Eder. Then of course there’s the fact that all performing players are nailed to the bench.
It’s not tactical preparation, it’s a hopeless attempt.
Right now, Mancini is just a deer caught in the headlights.
you sir, deserve more vote. in some games, I can see improvement in terms playing as a team, suddenly in the next match, he make another experiment with changing formation, player, etc. back to 0
Exactly! With every glimpse of hope comes a new formation or experiment. I don’t know if he is just stupid, stubborn or likes to be the one mentioned above the team in the news due to all his decisions.
He works with the players every day and many say he knows best. Well, he should know best, but the fact is, that he has become his own blind spot – not seeing what others see. I am not saying we should win the Serie A, but we should be able to do much better with the players available.
I pray he will wake up soon and prove worthy.
you hurted me hopefully you will get hurt
Clueless idiot
That was a good match are u blind? Mr Mancini your team has no identity doesn’t know how to attack or defend can’t press properly leaves spaces and attempts to waste time during second half matches while winning 1-0. You are stuck up with the same players playing players out of position and substitute players with two minutes remaining, it seems u already gave up and don’t understand what you are doing. No preparation we are the only team in the Serie A who looks like they just assembled the players before the match to play for Inter no chemistry or understanding like they don’t train together at all. And speaking of rtaining from hellas verona scandalous set piece dfeneing we conceeded another set piece so tell me Mr Mancini what exactly are you telling your players?
players are also making dumb decisions, murrilos form dropped he headed the ball to Valero and then handa did his typical bad handling which is his weakness
Yeah, they always return the ball backwards and they aren’t even good at passing. In modern football they should push to move the ball forward but with our team the moment they are under pressure they just pass back smh.
Inter players are currently suffering from frustration, and I think that
could be largely blamed on Mancini who is by all accounts not
technically or mentally equipped to manage Inter right now. I have
written about this time with out number, it’s high time Inter
management considered firing Mancini before more havoc is done to the
team, though the cost of doing that will be prohibitive to the
management, but something needs to be done urgently. Mancini’s ideas
soccer wise, are archaic and don’t take the opponents time to figure out
his style of play.
Players like Perisc, Eder, etc, are placed in
wrong positions. Perisic is a winger and should be made to play in the
wings, besides Mancini doesn’t play him regularly, as such he lacks
consistency. The more he plays, the more he does better. Case in point,
he was superb in the Hellas Verona game.
In the case of Eder, he
should not be made to play in the wings, because he’s a born poacher cum
striker. Imagine, a player who was able to bag in 12 goals this
season, while playing for Sampdoria, but the moment he transfered to
Inter has not been struggling big time to score even a goal. All these
make me feel that Macini is a spent force, he can’t do it any more.
Inter management should act accordingly and do the right thing at the
right time for the sake of the players and the teeming fans. Period.
Mancini’s idea about adapting in Serie A: watch it from the bench
