Superdeporte have described the remainder of Ever Banega’s Sevilla career as “numbered.” “From the leadership of Sevilla – says the Iberian newspaper – note that the former Valencia player has signed a contract with a clause that could be the possibility of extending the contract by one year if the player were to reach 30 official appearances in his last year of contract.” At this point the situation could tangle further, as from Spain they are saying: “Banega will do anything, even unilaterally terminate his contract to make an agreement with Inter, but in that case he would not be entitled to happy exit.” Source: FCInterNews.it

Idnt believe this at all. What kind of clause forces a player to resign if he reaches certain appearances. There is no such clause, negotiation who does that clause benefit? It doesnt even make sense
I can never understand a Club wanting to hold on to a player that wants to leave… It benefits both parties to just hammer out an amicable separation …
seems he wants to join us as soon as he can!
No, but having papers on him insures money in for Sevilla – I guess that’s more the reason for them to play hard balls, they want compensation!
From the article: In that case he would not be entitled to a “happy exit”.
Meaning what, exactly? Do all other departing players get a reach-around when they leave?
Anyway… I certainly hope this isn’t just a negotiating ploy by Banega to try to get them to raise his salary, and Inter is just leverage.
I don’t think so. It’s just Sevilla trying to get some money for him. They want to extend his contract and sell him to the highest bidder. They tried to get money from Inter in January but were too greedy so Ausilio told them to suck it.
