If Roberto Mancini leaves this summer, Diego Pablo Simeone is the number 1 candidate to replace him as the coach of Inter. This according to Premium Sport who also reveal that there is a clause in El Cholo’s contract with Atletico Madrid that allows him to leave the club before his current contract expires (set to expire in 2017). Inter’s directors are thinking about Mancini’s position, whose future is yet to be decided and meanwhile they are studying Simeone’s candidacy for the Nerazzurri bench.

I respect Cholo’s results in Atletico Madrid. And i don’t want to be pink elephant in the room, but i don’t wanna see ugly, defensive, results at any cost football that Cholo’s Atletico plays in my Inter.
YES
Even though i would love Cholo as our coach(i prefer him even over Mou) i don’t think it’s realistic.Regardless, Mancini has to go.
Mancini should have been able to play a decent football considering the players we bought (which he wanted) the team is playing shitty at their best. Its not about being patient with him personally I did not expect to see miracles but at least some decent football. So yeah suck mancini and fast.
Once you expect decent football it mean you expect the result too. Cause its hard to imagine that we play decent but get bad result continously
Simeone’s conctract at Atletico expires in 2020 (he extended it last spring) and not in 2017. Great journalism +1
Wow, I would love to see him whip some courage and fight into this team! I could imagine a well blended and tactical superior no-bullshit team that never gives up! Much like Inter before. He found some great solutions with not to many ressources in AM, so why not repeat the act at “home”.
i think he is more fond to Lazio than us..
we threw him away for Vieri..
But yes, i think he is a better coach for us..
He would be the ideal coach of Inter. Biggest reason being an ex nerazzurro whose speciality is the mental aspect of the players, also our biggest flaw. And his tactical style suits Serie A.
My biggest concern is that management and fans will not be patient. He will need time to construct his team, especially with FFP rules… But I believe he can make better decisions than Mancini does which will lead to better success. Mancini just seems lost and doesn’t know what he wants, tactically and with transfers.
if he does come, we should supoort him at least for 3 season before start bashing him arround like Mancini..
Im affraid some of us cant wait for that long.
well, we should learn to have patience..
we already been without any trophy for 5 years..
in thoose time we’ve been with so many coaches : benitez, Leonardo, Gasperini, Ranieri, Stramaccioni, Mazzari and Mancini..
only Leonardo can brought us become coppa italia champion..
changing coaches is not always the best solution..
i think, in our case, patience is the solution..
We can be patient with someone competent as DS but Mancini must go, he s just a horrible tactician.
Any goof coach would have been able to challenge for the title with our current squad
don’t be too harsh mate 🙂
it’s not always coach fault.. or at least it’s not only coach fault..
even me myself right now prefer DS than RM, but i think it’s fair to give RM more patience at least until his contract expired next season..
this is the first season RM play with his “choosen team”, i think we should not expect too much or even judge him in his first season, right?
for now let us just give support and best wishes for him until the end of the season, then we’ll see what will happen.. 🙂
Man, honestly, I’ve been following RM since he was at Lazio and I’m not a coach but I’m convinced that he s a terrible one.
He did win titles but I think that it was mainly due to the fact that he had strong squads and luck.
His teams never had any plan or playing style.
When I heard that Thohir wanted to build his project around him, I felt that something would be wrong and I’m sorry but it is entirely his fault that we r gonna finish 5th or 6th while with the money we spent we could have been at least 3rd with a decent coach.
And please, did you hear RM in press conferences, he always says that we played well and that we lost because of the referee…anyways I just hope that he will be sacked ASAP and that we can bring a real coach with whom we can be patient
honestly, i agree with you..
well i think it’s a good thing to try to give RM a good atmosphere for this last 7 matches, so the team can be more motivated and bring us their 1-0 luck until the end of the season so we can finish as high as possible..
some Inter coaches deserve more patient as they show potential which result might not coming instant. But Mancini doenst go to that category. Mancini goes the same pot with Mazzari and Benitez, or even Lippi.
i still impressed with WM work at Napoli, and i am still curious,
why he failed miserably with us, is it the backroom ? or locker room ?
or maybe the pressure from media and us ?
and dont even bother to use uppercase to write “benitez”.. LOL
well maybe we should just stick to our minimum target, if RM failed to achieve that, he deserves to be sacked then..
Indeeed, I agree Adrian.
We should be realistic.
Go unease with RM blindly is wrong, same with defending RM blindly.
We just set the target and act accordingly, if RM fail, then he fail. As simple as that
When he started at Atletico, they were close to relegation. And with the same squad he got into UCL places. He also never requests superstars so I think he is perfect.
