Despite Newcastle’s poor season, Dutch striker Georginio Wijnaldum has done really well for the Magpies scoring 9 times in 25 fixtures. According to Dutch media the former Feyenoord and PSV player is being tracked by the big Italian teams, more specifically: Inter, Juventus and Roma are all considering making a move for him in order to strengthen their midfield. The player himself was interviewed by Metro XL where he was asked about if he has a release clause in his contract should Newcastle be relegated to which he replied: “I’m not interested in giving information about my contract. I’m not thinking about the end of the season, I’m only focused on the next match. The club is working hard to make everything good, and I’m sure things will go well.” Newcastle find themselves in 19th place in the Premier League and the hiring of Rafael Benitez hasn’t improved things. Should Newcastle be relegated the club’s big names will leave, among these Wijnaldum.
