Adriano‘s American dream could be over with Miami United according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Il Imperador joined the amateur team in the American 4th tier hoping to restart his career having allegedly got over personal problems which blighted what promised to be an incredible career. After losing 5-0 to city rivals Miami Fusion in his first game, Adriano was said to be disappointed and therefore returned to Rio de Janiero.
His current agent, Luke Menezes was quick to dispel rumours however that this signalled the end of his client’s time with the Florida club. He went on to say, “Adriano apologises to fans, but had to go to Brazil to resolve personal issues and get an entry in the US for girlfriend. but he will be back soon, and will be on the pitch against Las Vegas.”
Playing for Las Vegas will be friend Ronaldinho, who Adriano shared the pitch with on a number of occasions for the Brazilian national team.
