After the chocking decision that Inter receieved about Assane Gnoukouri’s younger brother, Wilfried Gnoukouri, the club has decided to file an appeal against the decision. Wilfried Gnoukouri has been handled a two year suspension from football and will be able to play football again the 9th of May 2018.

In the referees document after the game the following could be read:

“Gnoukouri was booked for protests, he offended the referee. And when he got the second yellow card, he struck the referee hardly and voluntarily in the face. This caused so much physical pain, that the referee had to suspend the game. Whilst the referee was leaving the field, the player had a threatening approach and tried to strike him again, but was stopped by an Inter director”

Inter has punished Gnoukouri for his attachment on the field, but they club has still chosen to remain close to the player and is preparing to file an appeal against the decision. Seeing the video below, it truely seems like the decision of the referee is exaggerated.
