Inter were given another setback in their pursuit of Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi during today’s meeting between the club’s respective sporting directors, Ausilio and Angelozzi. Sassuolo gave a straightforward answer – no! Inter’s apparent willingness to offer 25m for the player may cast further doubt over the Neroverdi’s independence from their ‘agreement’ with Juventus.

The chances of Andrea Ranocchia joining Eusebio Di Francesco’s squad seem remote, due to Inter’s demand for a transfer fee greater than what Sassuolo can realistically afford. Central defender Francesco Acerbi was also discussed, as was the future of former Inter academy starlet Alfred Duncan.
