Napoli are practically on the verge of closing the deal to purchase Davide Santon as reported by Il Mattino.

Inter have accepted the offer of 5 million (plus bonuses) made by the Neapolitan club. Yesterday there was a meeting in Milan between the Napoli sporting director, Giuntoli and Santon’s agent, Vigorelli. The agreement is on the basis of a 5 year contract with a 1 Million euros salary plus bonuses. Napoli have overtaken Torino in the race to sign Santon after he rejected the move to Sunderland. The negotiations are at a very advanced  stage and can be closed shortly. Santon was preferred to Widmer by the Napoli directors.
