It seems that Inter are closing in on long-anticipated summer target Antonio Candreva. According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport Suning Group have allowed Piero Ausilio to make an improved bid for the Italy International who will move to the San Siro in a € 25 million deal (€ 21 million cash plus € 4 million of bonus. The payment can be split into four financial years).
Candreva has already a verbal agreement with the nerazzurri, having agreed to sign a four-year, € 2.7 million-a-year deal. The 29-year-old could undergo medical on Sunday and join his new teammates at Inter’s training ground La Pinetina on August 4.
Inter are still looking for a new center midfielder: Lassana Diarra, Paredes, Roberto Soriano, Ramires and Lucas Biglia are all on Mancini’s shopping list.
Meantime, Lazio have already find out how to invest proceedings of the sale of Candreva. Still according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the biancocelesti have found agreement with Newcastle for the signing of Florian Thauvin who will move to the Olimpico for € 12 million. The French midfielder signs a new € 1.5 million deal.
Lazio have also agreement with Sao Paulo for centre-back Rodrigo Caio (€ 11.5 million), but still trying to persuade the 22-year-old Brazilian centre-back. Keita has asked to leave. Monaco have offered € 20 million, Lotito wants ten more.

The figures look good, actually. And split in two years. If it’s true, then Ausilio has done a fine job. Now let’s hope Candreva delivers what we expect of him and gets us to the top. I can’t wait to see him on the right, Perisic on the left, Icardi up front and Banega behind them.
