Inter president spoke about the renovations of the training center, the state of Italian football and Inter fans.
From the United States where Inter is on tour, Inter president Erick Thohir, after the words of yesterday, has released another interview on the club’s official website:
“We have addressed many topics in this second day. We want to speed up the process of updating our facilities at Appiano Gentile, perhaps adding more fields. We want to further develop the training center. Not only Appiano though but also for the youth sector structures to help the youngsters grow. There is a commitment between the first team and the Primavera to work together almost as one unit. From the sporting point of view we will try to expand the work team, with a manager at Appiano to oversee the structure, while we already have a manager for the players, who will take care of their needs: a common thing in the US ”
“I am very happy to know that the number of our fans in the world is growing. Last year we had about 254 million fans now we have grown to 311 million. It is a beautiful growth but obviously we want to increase them even more thanks to Inter Channel and our social channels: Today an increasing number of young people have access to new media. ”
“All the clubs of Serie A should work together to compete with the other leagues. Serie A and the presidents must work together to grow the championship. Today we are the fourth European league, we were the third a few years ago and I would not want to see us slipping to fifth place in the coming years, because if we look at the global revenues now the Premier League is in first place, the second is the Bundesliga and then comes La Liga. It is important for the league and the clubs that are part of growing and be assured of being able to compete, including the globalization that is taking place and, as you know, Suning is one of the biggest supporters of the sale of TV rights in China, having purchased the rights for the transmission of many games, they want to help the development of the Serie A in China and the Italian market. ”

Serie a will never be “great” again like in the 90’s, the money simply isnt there.
Over half the EPL has currently more spending power than anyone in serie a not named Rubentus.
lol so 4% of the worlds entire population are now Inter fans? If we estimate that around 40% of the population have some interest in football and follow a team, that makes about 10% of all football fans world wide as Inter fans…
Seriously where does he get this shit from. What a ridiculously random number to throw up. I doubt even the dumbest indonesian farmer in some remote village will believe that.
Compared to other teams Inter’s social networks have a very small number of followers. We do have the highest stadium attendance in Serie a though.
Dream on…serie A will never back to greatness if their team never reach good spot on CL like we do in 2010!!!
Just build a f**king stadium
just big talk, and nothing is actually done.
develop ya fckn channels in the Americas.
You’d better save your bucks for a new stadium instead. Last year, Juve was the only team in Serie A with a positive balance, and it is mostly due to them having their own stadium.
BUILD US A STADIUM RIGHT NOW! I’d rather staying out of CL for couple of years knowing that we would get our stadium in 3 years…
you big-head midget, you have NO CLUE;….
