Former Inter player and current CEO of Bayern Munich Karl-Heinz Rummenigge spoke to Inter Channel as the two sides met in North Carolina last night. When asked about his time with the nerazzurri, he replied: “Inter are in my heart, as I had a beautiful spell there.”
Rummenigge also spoke of the relationship between Bayern and Inter: “We have fought many battles, victories and defeats. There is a lot of respect between us, and I wish Inter good luck this season.”
He finished by reiterating his desire to see the traditional big clubs return to the Champions League: “I miss Inter, AC Milan and Manchester United, all great teams. I hope to see them again.”
