What will De Boer’s Inter look like?

Frank De Boer prefers to play a 4-3-3 style of play. Along with that, he plans to add Luiz Gustavo to his midfield trio. It would look something like this (as shown in the picture above): Handanovic; Erkin, Murillo, Miranda, Ansaldi; Kondogbia, Luiz Gustavo, Banega; Candreva, Pericic, Icardi. A well rounded lineup to be fair. They say he favors a Barcelona, possession type of football with this type of lineup. Pending our forward situation, we will soon see if Icardi will stay with Inter for this season. If Barcelona type of play is what he is going for, I don’t think Icardi will find his place in the starting XI as he is nowhere near technical enough for the role whereas a player like Jovetic or even Eder would suit De Boer’s style of play much more fluidly.
