Keita Balde

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is reportedly coming round to the idea of selling winger Keita Baldé Diao. The 21-year-old has made little secret of his desire to leave the capital side this summer, and it seems his club is set to accede to his demands.

Having signed Hernanes and Antonio Candreva in recent times, Inter could sign yet another Lazio player before the transfer window comes to a close. Goal.com’s Manuele Baiocchini believes Lotito has offered Keita to his Nerazzurri counterpart Erick Thohir for a fee in the region of 25-30m. However, Biancoceleste sporting director Igli Tare said yesterday that a contract renewal remains the priority, which would see the player’s salary rise from 400,000 to 1.5m per year.

Keita’s agent, Roberto Calenda, recently insisted that Lazio are in fact yet to offer a contract renewal and that his client would seek a move elsewhere. For the time being, the Senegalese attacker is merely an idea for the Inter hierarchy as Gabigol remains the priority whilst Lorenzo Insigne has also emerged as a potential target.
