Dodo has joined Sampdoria on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy, the Genoese club have confirmed. The Brazilian spent part of last term on loan with the club from Inter and they added that he is available to coach Marco Giampaolo for this afternoon’s training session.

Thank god, with this we covered the majority of the price we paid for him and it’s obligation to buy after loan, so we don’t have to worry he’ll come back if he flops.
Since I couldn’t find any useful information in this article, I went on to search using my own sources.
Here’s the deal Dodô = 2 years loan with €5,5m obligation to buy + percentage of future sale.
Curious to see that we sold him in 2 years of installments for only €5.5m… I mean, he’s rated less than Santon?!
I think the KEY in this deal is the FUTURE RESALE CLAUSE – but I couldn’t find out the percentage. Reports only say it’s a high percentage, so I guess it’s at least ~20% which is OK.
for instance: if Sampdoria sell Dodô after 2 years for €8m, we earn an extra €1.6

the deal is actually not good enough. we would get money after 2 years from now. Also the % of resale value contain uncertainty, the 2 year wait is risk, it could go up or down…

As long as we get more than like 4mill I’m fine. We get his salary off our books, get a couple million, get rid of a player whose injured alot, and open up a spot on the team.
