Carmine Russo will take charge of Inter-Palermo, as the referees are announced for Week 2 of Serie A. The 39-year old has been a part of Serie A since 2007 and permanently in the first division since 2010 as he heads into his sixth season in Italy.

Last season, he became the referee for 125 matches and is widely regarded as one of the best referees in Italy. Following this game, Inter will not be playing a Serie A match until September 11 against Pescara.
