Following a Copa do Brasil victory for Santos against Vasco da Gama, striker Gabriel Barbosa spoke to the press regarding his future with the club, stating that negotiations are underway.
”We are in talks,” the striker said. ”I believe that everything will be resolved quickly, especially we don’t have enough time, with the transfer window closing.”
”Nothing has been resolved because I was focusing on the Olympic Games. Now with that over, it’s time to talk. I have an entire week because on Sunday, I have to travel with the Brazilian national team. When that is over, everything will be resolved.”, he concluded.
The traveling that he is referring to is his duty with the national team in World Cup qualifiers next week against Ecuador in Quito and at home against Colombia. Gabigol has a 24 million Euro offer from Inter.
