Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte report that Inter have managed to convince Gabigol to join the Nerazzurri immediately and not in January as was first reported.
According to the report, Inter increased their offer from €25 to €28 million to convince Gabigol to make the move now instead of in January, seeing that the player receives all sums above €18 million. Furthermore, UOL Esporte reports that Inter declined the request to allow Gabigol to feature in a farewell fixture before making the move to Inter and the Serie A.

Gabigol has over 150 senior caps already and will only turn 20 this month. Its a very high amount for such a young player.
I dont think we need him right now even if jovetic is gone. Basically we already have eder and palacio as icardi subs. As winger perisic and candreva are absolute starter with biabiany and joao mario/eder as subs.. in january eder can go and gabigol could come in because he’s able to play as 9 or winger.

so far it was Santos wanting him to stay, but now paying an extra 3m to him makes it look like it was always up to the player…
anyway, this only makes sense if he joins right away, we are not in the position (both financially and quality-wise) to let 25m of our limited transfer budget fool around in Brazil for another 4 months while FFP wont make it possible to strenthen the squad in the remaining days of mercato

Yeah, was thinking much the same. Peresic-Icardi-Candreva is good, but if Jovetic is gone, our only depth is Eder/Palacio… and of those guys, none of them can play a number 10-type role if needed. From my understanding, Gabigol has that versatility.
So, relieved if this is true.
But MAN do we still need a fullback BAD. C’mon Criscito, or Caceres, or anybody, really. We can’t keep starting Nagatomo/D’Ambrosio.
