After the disappointing draw against Palermo, Frank De Boer spoke to SkySport. Here is what he said:
“We are improving and will do week after week. If everything goes how I think it will, we will win a lot of games. Today we had total control of the match, and for this reason I ask the fans for patience: even I want immediate results, but you have to understand that it’s complicated. Inter is a great club and a point in two games is not adequate, but our fans need to support us even in these times”.
The Dutchman then explained his thinking behind leaving Candreva out of the starting line up.
“He physically isn’t ready yet and we have other wingers. Today I chose Perisic, Candreva played in Verona”.
And on the sales. Will Brozovic leave? Will further reinforcements arrive?
“Brozovic is an important player who I like and think that he will be very important for us. Will we need other players? I’ll talk to the sporting director Ausilio”.

You know what really piss me off about this whole situation! It’s not the fact that we’re -5 from the top spot! It’s that we’re-5 from the top spot and ppl are behave like it’s a crime! I really wonder if some of the ppl on this fan site are truly supporters! I only see negatives from them so I’m wondering. The team played well only lacking the goals that should have been put away. However I saw a different inter from the one last weekend. And to be honest it was a better showing than 90% of the matches Mancini coached last season. I can see where we can be in a few months time, but we have to be patient with the guys and stop bashing when things don’t go as we would love them to. 5 points adrift isn’t bad at tjis stage, we have plenty time to get it right. Unless ppl want a repeat of last season? At the top for half the season barely making it then finish 4th 13 points off 3rd spot!

Jojo was not our “untouchable” players, from last season it was Icardi, Miranda, murillo, handa, perisic. we play with winger so there is no room for him, Jojo best position was SS, he not good enough as striker, AMF, or winger. we buy Joao Mario and still keep brozo because we play with 3 Midfield and we need depth in that area.

I wanted to say Santon is an improvement, but he was so slow and heavy yesterday, and the goal we conceded was party his fault for not turning quickly enough. Tho most was luck. His speed worries me, he’d get destroyed by a quick winger. I don’t know his medical condition and if this is due to poor fitness or he needs surgery, I hope to see him more fit.

he just lack of minute game and continuity in last 2 sesasons so he don’t have improvement in many technical aspect, do you remember last time he played ? it’s long time ago, but his movement and work rate is good, his coverage on the pitch was better than D’ambro. he still have potential to be better player , far away better than D’Ambrossio and Naga.

agree with you with the patience part.. most of inter fans don’t have the patience to wait until the end of the season to make a judgement.. just 2 games and i already see some overreacted comments.. i don’t like the fact that they sacking mancini 10 days before the season start.. but it’s already happen.. what can we do!? right!? De Boer messed up the tactics in the first game, but yesterday they were spot on. We totally dominated Palermo, but the finishing was awful. Only thing I didn’t like was Medel constantly ending up in scoring positions, but failing cause he isn’t a good finisher. But I guess that’s the tactics for when Mario plays in his position.
I wouldn’t have much patience if we weren’t playing good, but yesterday could have easily finished 4-1 as De Boer said. The players were making stupid mistakes and missed too many chances, but we created so many I stopped counting. It’s obvious everyone is nervous and the stakes are high, but I’m 99% sure the results will come very soon.

I agree to you if we started Perisic and Candreva we could have done much better, but what is really hopeful the preformance today is much much more better than the first match, I would add on that Santon preformance today was much better D’ambrosio, I hope FDB play him on the the right and Miangue on the left sides of defense from the beginning of next match
I don’t agree at all, even if eder wasn’t at his max level, perisic left his mind home, he wasn’t tactically stable, many times he left the wing unattended, I think FDB made the right choice, again it’s a personal opinion

Perisic was awful today; his running, first touches on the ball and passes were all out in the blue, but when Eder was moved to the left he played really well moving into the center of the field combining with Kondogbia and Banega… Hell, even D’Ambros played well when Candreva came on!
