Gabriel “Gabigol” Barbosa celebrated his 20th birthday in style today, as he was officially announced as Inter’s latest summer acquisition. The Brazilian joins the Nerazzurri having won two São Paulo state championships during the four seasons in which he played for Santos’ first team. He has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, keeping him at San Siro until 2021.
Inter’s official website concluded by wishing the forward good luck in his new adventure: “As we wait to see him in action at San Siro, everyone connected with Inter gives Gabigol a warm welcome to the club, wishing him a happy birthday and a fantastic career in a Nerazzurri shirt.”

I’m so glad to see us signing this kid. Having 3 top players (Candreva, Perisic, and Gabigol) to play for two spots, that could make difference means that we always can look forward to our bench, and keep our hopes up.
