Last night the summer transfer window closed, this window provided Inter with many arrivals: Joao Mario and Gabigol along with Candreva, are the welcome gifts from Suning Group, which make the fans dream for the forthcoming years. Inter legend Mario Corso spoke to the microphones of TMW to comment on this transfer market:
“Inter did very badly in the first two games, especially against Palermo against which they should have got all three points in the comeback, but the team is not playing well. Now the market is over and you can not yet give an overall judgment yet. I know Joao Mario well, he will surely be liked by De Boer, he will give a great hand to the cause and will be a good asset. Gabigol sincerely I know little about, however, he comes at a tricky time, I do not know if he will be a starter. In general however, I would give the Nerazzurri transfer market an 8. The club deserves it, of course if they managed to get someone else in defence my vote could have been even higher. I don’t know where Inter can finish in the table yet, we must see the development in the rest of the season, but the team can become competitive. ”

It was a good mercato and the most exiting one since 2009. The attack was a disaster last season as players like Ljajic and Jovetic flopped badly, so obviously the primary focus in this mercato was to improve on that. Added 2 new midfielders who actually create, a proper right winger and a super talent like Gabigol proves that.
Inter and Rube both added 4 new starters to their starting 11. Roma and Napoli added 2.
Rube will obviously ease through the league and win the scudetto, but the gap between Roma, Napoli and Inter has surely become smaller, atleast on paper.
I’d say Roma are the favourites for second place, they have most balanced team of the 3 and also the best coach by some margin. If Roma can keep building on that strong second half of last season when Spaletti came, then they can go far.
Napoli lost Higuain, but added Milik who is not bad and has already started out well. Napoli create so many chances that i dont think losing Higuain will hurt them as much as some people think.
With 4 new starters and a new coach, It will take time to see if Inter can be competitive. That alone makes Inter a dark horse for a CL spot, but its not impossible if the team gels quickly and FDB manages to implement a working tactic.
We should aiming top 3 at the minimum because we are Inter.. Inter must always play on the highest level.. 5/6 years reconstruction is finish.. We cannot wait for any longer.. We must win at least 1 trophy/season ( coppa italia/europa league). Its already too long that we didnt lift a trophy in the past 5 years
btw darijo srna is free transfer at the moment. why is there nobody from our club thought about him?
What are you talking about, he is still under contract with Shakhtar.. And 34 years old.
He has less than a year in his contract and would be able to rescind his contract on mutual agreement basis. barcelona is making a move for him atm. but hey, maybe i read it all wrong. btw, 34 years old or not, if you see his performances in euro 2016, he could still play at high level for 2-3 years barring any serious injury.
His preformance in euro 2016 was the only good preformance in years for NT, he got a lot of criticism for his preformances in NT in last couple of years. No, Barca is not making a move for him, its rubbish. He can’t play in both directions any more, years are catching up with him, he will only decline from now on. And he is like a god in Donetsk, he likes it there, that’s why he didn’t want to move in recent years although he had offers from better clubs. He will most likely finish his career at Shakhtar.
We did pretty well I believe …First is Juve,2nd inter closely followed by Napoli then roma. Dare I say the league standings finish like that and I’d be contended for now since it’s obvious that it would take either one or two of the Milan giants to knock Juve off their perch. This transfer market we showed ambition and also showed that we still have the power to attract big names, maybe if ffp weren’t down our shoulders we’d have even gotten a couple good defensive reinforcements but overall not bad.The intent is there, now the results must come.Forza inter
Maybe its time now to prove
