Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte claim to have a document in which financial details of Gabriel “Gabigol” Barbosa’s transfer to Inter are revealed.

The leaked paperwork puts an end to speculation over the cost of Gabigol to Chinese owners Suning, confirming that the Nerazzurri were successful with a bid of 29.5m.

However, despite the hefty transfer fee, Santos will only receive 11.8m whilst Gabigol and his family will also earn 11.8m from the deal. The remaining 5.9m will be paid to Doyen Sports.

The very same document also appears to reveal that Barcelona were in fact informed of Inter’s bid, hence allowing them to activate their option to buy Gabigol which they had acquired during negotiations to sign Neymar.

According to the São Paulo state club, the Blaugrana were informed of Inter’s advances in accordance with the terms of their agreement. Despite this, Barcelona maintain it all happened too late and are set to present an appeal to FIFA whereby they will seek compensation of 3.2m.
