Mauro Icardi spoke with Mediaset and implies he never wanted to leave the club over the summer at any point: “The club has made great investments this summer, bringing in quality players, and that’s an advantage for me, I want to win with this shirt, I want to stay here. I’m comfortable in the city and I never thought about leaving this team.”
He also laid comment on his wife and agent Wanda calling him “the best number 9 in the world”: “She wrote that because she’s my wife, but I’m lacking a lot to be the best striker in the world. There are many better strikers who do amazing things. I’ll leave putting labels on me to you, I just have to score goals. I’m the Inter striker, and in football if the strikers aren’t scoring, then they’re not helping. It’s my duty and I have to keep doing, and of course to do it against Juve is always nice! Doing it in the Inter shirt is different than doing it for Samp, scoring in the Derby d’Italia is always important and a source of great satisfaction.”

Icardi, higuain, sergio aguero and dybala. What kind of killer strikers the Tango Argentina have right now!! They always produce the best goal scorer since long time ago

A club can activate the release clause with or without an “OK” from the players
And like fahm said “If the players did not want to go, it’s different case, but the amount for buy out clause has been triggered.”
Please no need to rude

why all italian média hâte our coach like this? It’s been a terribly difficult first month at Inter for our new mister, but finally Frank has something to really smile about. He prepared this game brilliantly during the week and the result was our best team performance BY A MILE of the season so far. Everything was impressive – the pressing, the discipline, the compactness out of possession, the speed in our transition play and the character to capsize the Campioni d’Italia after conceding the first goal, with the winner coming from the man he initially protected on the bench and then unleashed into proceedings at exactly the right moment. In fairness that’s something we are getting worryingly used to – we’ve conceded the first goal in all five of our official matches this season – and this needs to be corrected, because we won’t always be able to power back into proceedings like we did here, but for today I suppose we can let that slide. The treatment he has been offered by the Italian press since arriving in Italy has been nothing short of atrocious and disgraceful, and unsurprisingly there was not a single mention of him on any of Monday morning’s front pages, despite having played a huge part in our first league win over Juve in eight attempts. Well done, Frank. That match was a
bona fide masterpiece.
“…I’m lacking a lot to be the best striker in the world. There are many better strikers who do amazing things.”
So humble for a young man. Keep that spirit and attitude and we’ll love you more, and maybe someday you’ll be our next legend.
It was the right answer and it would have been really weird to claim the opposite. Let’s not fool ourselves though, Wanda wouldn;t have stirred all the drama if Icardi would have told her to stop making waves. He saw an opportunity and he took it. That said, if he can keep performing at that level consistently, he’ll deserve every cent of it.
he learns best from our former captain JZ4, attitude in and out of pitch, making statement to the press, and of course a work ethic. hope more and more of him
As someone mentioned yesterday, i am really worry about his buy out clause set at 100 mil €. I know its a lot of money, but if we build team around him, he should be unsellable. These days many teams can activate it, because its like nothing for greedy sheiks to pay it.
Btw. does it mean that when some club activate it, is there a chance that mauro will refuse their offer and stay as he many times said? Thanks for explanation
yes they cant activate it if the player not willing to go
nope, the clause inserted before negotiate with players (agent). So if a club triggered a player clause, they automatically could talk to the player (agent).
If the players did not want to go, it’s different case, but the amount for buy out clause has been triggered.
are u serious !!
i believe this is what i say if u reread what i wrote
there’s no connection between release clause and willingness of a player, I think I read it right from your post ”
yes they cant activate it if the player not willing to go.”
u r a hopeless case ,,
how they will activate the clause if the player not willing to go and want to stay !!!!!!!!
if u r that damn good tell me
read that right, there’s no connection between release clause and willingness of a player.
As I quoted below
“A release clause, simply put, is a clause in a player’s contract which
automatically requires a club (subject to qualifying conditions
dependent on each individual contract, such as non-participation in the
Champions League, a specific date, or a bid from a Champions League
club) to accept an offer of a pre-determined amount set out in the
contract by the buying club. If the minimum amount is triggered, the
player is indeed allowed to speak to the buying club.”

man stop pushing hard and running inside a closed circle
its so easy , the man asked a simple question ,, could they take the player EVEN if he is not agree to go and want to stay ,,
the answer is soooooooo simple ,, NO ,,
are u done ?
i’m done explaining what is release clause since my first reply. For you hard to accept the sentence is none of my problem.
yes man , thank u very much for ur priceless explaining and for adding nothing 🙂
u have been a really really a hopeless case
have a nice day
No worries mate he’s not going anywhere. Triggered or not its still up to him.
Propably his best performance for Inter ever! I have never seen him run so mutch. He was pressing and fighting for every ball.
And Perisic and Candreva have not even started working well together, Banega has been setting him up. Imagine when they finally all click together.
The sky will definitely be our limit
golden ball might be awaiting
hehe let’s not get carried away. Before the derby it was all doom and gloom in this forum. Truth is there’s a lot of work to be done, Inter and FDB are still to find a way to dominate defensive teams who play on the counter (most teams in Serie A). We have to give them time and hope for a bit of luck so we don’t lose too many games in the process
Looks like Icardi and Candreva have a similar beard style. Add to them Gabigol, and we have The Beard Trio upfront 😀
Lol
I fucking love you, man! And that attitude? Makes me love you more.
