According to FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are closing in on a deal to sign Leonardo Morosini from Brescia. The attacking midfielder is under contract with the Lombardy club until 2019, however could be set to sign for the club he has supported since he was a boy as early as January.

His impressive performances so far this season have convinced Piero Ausilio to launch a decisive assault to sign the 20-year-old. Negotiations are underway and an agreement could be reached by December, allowing the player to put pen to paper during the next transfer window. However, he would remain with the Biancoazzurri for the rest of the season to aid his development.

A fee of between 3.5-4m has been mooted whilst any difference between supply and demand could be closed with the insertion of bonuses and a sell-on clause into Morosini’s long-term contract.
