Ex-assistant coach to Roberto Mancini, Sylvinho has spoken to UOL Esporte about contact with São Paulo club Corinthians who have attempted to hire him as their new manager: “It’s not true that I refused a proposal from Corinthians. I spoke to President Roberto de Andrade, we analysed things and entered into initial negotiations. My name had been considered, and I was happy about that, but my contract with Inter meant that there were not the conditions to proceed. De Andrade is a person who I respect and who contacted me, knowing I had left Inter. I am currently undertaking the UEFA coaching course. Corinthians sought me, but we did not even reach the stage of discussing money.”
