In two separate interviews, legendary Inter attacker Sandro Mazzola spoke out on the Mauro Icardi situation:
Firstly, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mazzola said,
“I believe that the club should take action immediately and maybe end the relationship with the player after this season. I do not remember how old I was when I wrote my first biography, but I was certainly more than 23. It was right to give him the captain’s armband because he had to realise how important he was but I fear that his acts have cancelled out this sentiment. I do not know his family situation, but I’m sure he is not well advised because otherwise he would have acted differently.”
He then spoke with TuttoMercatoWeb and admits the ordeal could’ve been handed better,
“I was disappointed in Icardi, as I would never do such a thing. Of course, I was sad to see these things at the stadium. I understand the fans but I think there was another way to deal the situation. The captaincy? Icardi should be stripped of it, making it available to his teammates.”

Icardi made a mistake and will pay for it! But in don’t understand why nobody talking about Curva’s behaviour? They are not represent all interisti in the world and they can’t say who supposed to be captain or not! Why they think that is normal to threatened players, insult them and everybody suppose to thank them for that our what? Legends like Mazzola is better to support the team, not putting even more pressure with unrequested opinions what management supposed to do and what not!
This is so typical from Inter fans base, always going to extremes.. In the summer Icardi was their worst enemy, then when he scored some goals he became their hero until yesterday and today he is again public enemy number one.. Worst fans ever.

because they always support our team attend in the stadium home and away. and most of interisti in around the world can’t do that.
Big name players aren’t exactly lining up to come to Inter. Takes us an entire summer to sign players because they want to see what other options there are before considering coming to Inter.
With all that’s going on, discontent amongst current players, and with the potential of another new coach by mid or end of season this is not an enticing place for someone to come to.
Writing a biography at the age of 22(guess he started last year when he was at that age, right) is nothing but laughable and only a way to get his (and his new agent) promoted but to invent stories and simply LIA about events is something else and far more worse!!

The only thing I’m sorry for is that the book didn’t arrive just before christmas, so that Icardi could be sold in the beginning of January! Now we’ll have him, his totally crazy for attention wife-agent on board for at least 3more months…
The club cannot be blameless in this fiasco either. When SAF was managing Man U or any club managed by Jose, would they allow a player to publish a biography without the club’s lawyers checking it first? I hope Inter learn a lesson from this, its a pity the lesson will be EUR -50m.
